Try NOT thinking about it

I know you've done this before.

You hear a song. It's okay. Cutesy. PoPiNg on all the radio stations.
Cornballish. Big hit. Bit dorky. All the little girls love this one.

Makes me want to get out my big hair, head sweat band, leg warmers, and do aerobics.

Go ahead, listen to it. You'll do at least a couple head nods or booty shakes.

I can't get the flippin' song from playing it's loop in my head!

Nope, it's not speaking to me. (Thank goodness, I've already got more than enough stuff stuck in my brain.)

Robin: Not this one maybe, but I mean we all have a dumb song that won't go away.

When my kids were little, it usually was something dumb from Sesame Street or Barny I couldn't shake.

Everytime I hear that I keep wanting to sing "I wear my sunglasses at night"....If it would kick out that "Boom de ya da" song from the Discovery channel, I'd be happy...nice song, but...it...just...won't....stop!!!

This is the first time I've ever heard this (where have I been? Under a rock?!? No, don't answer that!!!)...but it does have a very 80s sound to it!! Some things aren't meant to be "new" again!! ;)

I still have to be careful of which song I hear last every day, 'cuz whatever it is, it'll keep playing in my head all night long. In the morning, I wake up to a random song playing in my head. Drives me crazy when it's one I don't like! This one by Miley is cute and a definite contender for replay.....

Welcome to my hell. Though this hasn't managed to knock the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Curious George theme out of my brain, something equally popish is surely waiting in the wings.

BTW, I think Mylie is adorable.

This is the song I posted about...the one I'd blast with the top down on my car, but then would turn down at traffic lights so nobody would hear me listening.

ok, I'll admit it. I took my 9 yr old daughter to her concert and we both were thoroughly entertained. She's a good performer. She's obviously got the market on the teenie boppers so most moms would be forced to listen to it and subsequently sing it! Can't be helped.

The ones that stink in my mind when my kids were young was
"Love Shake" or "Kokomo". So much so I thought about getting a lobotomy.
